Poppy of Honour Pavilion | Somerset

The Poppy of Honour was created in 2018 as a national memorial to honour British and Commonwealth Servicemen and Servicewomen listed as killed or missing in World War I. Inside the Poppy of Honour are 1,117,635 individual remembrance poppies, each with the handwritten with the rank, name and official date of loss of those individuals who lost their lives.

After travelling displays in a number of towns, ownership of The Poppy of Honour was transferred to 'The People' in 2023. A purpose built pavilion will provide a permanent home for the Poppy of Honour at Maidenbrook Country Park, Taunton, adjacent to the existing memorial garden.
