In July 2015, Reed Holland were appointed by Thales UK to create new office accommodation within Green Park Business Park in Reading for 650–700 staff. The existing building had not been used for 15 years and represented a blank canvas upon which Thales could impose its own brand identity and showcase the products and services that Thales UK is able to offer its clients. The generous floor-to-floor height meant that services could be accommodated within the deep floor void as well as the ceiling void. The access floors and ceiling would provide floor-to-ceiling glazing around a good proportion of the office interior space. This was an ideal building block for a modern office interior and lent itself to flexible space planning to meet the needs of specific sectors of the Thales businesses that will occupy the building.
